 Different Worlds Meet

Long before Columbus, the people of Europe, Africa, and Asia traded with each other. Centers of population and trade existed throughout the world in the 1400's. A few bold adventurers set sail into uncharted seas to find a quicker, safer trade route to Asia. Instead, they landed in the Americas and changed the course of history.

In this unit, you will read abouty the continents of Africa, Asia, and Europe, and the growing connections amontg them. You will also learn about the first explorers to the Americas, and their encounters with native people there. Finally, you will learn abou the European settlement of North America.
